How a claim works with us

Call us first

If it's safe, call us before the carrier. We'll tell you what to document and walk you through next steps.

Document the loss

Photos, receipts, police or fire reports if applicable. Don't dispose of damaged property until told to.

We file with the carrier

We submit the FNOL (first notice of loss) and stay in the loop with the adjuster.

We advocate through settlement

If the carrier offers less than fair, we push back. That's the difference between a broker and a 1-800 number.

What to have ready when you call

  • Your policy number (or your name and date of birth if you can't find it)
  • Date, time, and location of the loss
  • A short description of what happened
  • Photos of the damage if it's safe to take them
  • Names and contact info for any other parties involved
  • Police or fire report number, if one was filed
